How Alike compares with other photo cleaners
Before choosing an iPhone app for similar photos, check how it selects a keeper, confirms deletion, protects your photos and charges for use. These questions describe how Alike handles each decision.
What to check before you choose

Is Alike the right one for you
Alike fits if your camera roll is full of bursts and repeated shots, you want the app to choose the keeper, and you want photo analysis to stay on your iPhone.
Look elsewhere if you mainly need to compress videos or convert Live Photos — Alike does not do that — or if you want a one-time purchase instead of a subscription.
How Alike decides
- Grouping. Alike compares photos taken close together in time and place, so a burst, a series of selfies or ten tries at the same sunset land in one group.
- Best Shot. In each group, Alike scores sharpness, exposure, faces and noise and marks the strongest photo. When you pick a different one, Alike learns from it on the device. You can reset what it learned in Settings.
- Review. Keep Best Only, Select All Except Best, or choose by hand.
- Free and Pro. Free includes Best Shot, enhancement and the widgets, and cleans one photo at a time. Pro adds unlimited scans, batch cleanup, screenshot and blurred-photo cleanup, and advanced filters.
